A career built on showing up for people.
Chapter 01
2004
A calling in uniform
At just 20 years old, I joined the Merced County Sheriff's Department as a Custodial Deputy. For nearly two decades, I had the privilege of serving my community — a career that taught me discipline, compassion, resilience, and the importance of showing up for people during their most difficult moments.
Chapter 02
2023
An unexpected turn
A workplace injury brought my career with the Sheriff's Department to an end. At 39, as a wife and mother, I suddenly had to figure out what came next. Stepping into the unknown can be scary for anyone — and it was for me too.
Chapter 03
2023
Back to school
I decided to finish something I had always wanted to accomplish. I graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology — then did something I hadn't done since I was 20: I looked for a job.
Chapter 04
Nov 23, 2023
A new chapter with Aflac
I obtained my insurance license, passed my exam, and began a completely new chapter. Recruited by Erthan Ikic and surrounded by incredible mentors — Rosario, Matt, and especially my Market Director, Alma Ikic — I discovered just how meaningful this career could be.
Chapter 05
Today
A lifetime of service, continued
I work with business owners, employees, healthcare professionals, and families to help them access benefits that provide financial protection when life doesn't go according to plan. I don't see this as selling insurance. I see it as continuing a lifetime of service.
